Oriongroup inks MOU with top U.S. Engineering Firm, Burns & McDonnell
Oriongroup International, Inc. (OGI), the trailblazing engineering, procurement and construction management company and Burns & McDonnell Global Inc. (BMGI), a leading American full-service engineering, architecture and construction solutions firm, recently, signed an agreement to work together in the development and execution of construction projects in the Philippines. The parties mutually agreed to partner in the design, supply, installation and construction of several projects throughout the country beginning in 2020.
Present during the contract signing were executives from both firms. Representing Oriongroup were, Chairman of the Board, Mr. Rene F. Aguirre and President & CEO Engr. Rynor G. Jamandre. Standing for Burns & McDonnell, were its heads Company President Mr. Michael W. Brown and President for Energy Mr. Rick Halil.
Other bigwigs of Burns & McDonnell flew in from Kansas City, Missouri to witness the momentous event. In attendance were Vice President Mr. Grant E. Grothen and Project Management Director Mr. James A. Jurczak.
Also invited to grace the special occasion were clients and colleagues in the industry such as US Embassy Commercial Counselor Gregory O’Connor, Commercial Specialist Thess Q. Sula, Former Governor of Oriental Mindoro Mr. Pedro Medalla, President of First Life International Peter Coyiuto, President of Shearwall Systems Mario Jamolangue and Banco De Oro AVP Norman Legata.
Projects in the pipeline are solar installations in resorts, hospitals and factories, residential and commercial developments, including aviation projects. Majority of the ventures are located in the province and countryside, providing more economic opportunities and sources of livelihood for people who live outside Metro Manila.
It is Oriongroup’s aim to do its part in nation building and create more avenues of growth and prosperity for a wider group of our country’s population through this partnership with Burns & McDonnell.
